Boys Only Classes
Boys class is designed to introduce boys to dance, in an environment that is not dominated by females. As an incentive to encourage more boys to become involved, I am offering the first term free of charge! The class will be a mixture of modern and classical dance, encouraging coordination, strength building, artistry, discipline and fun! Dance compliments other sports very well and can assist in improving agility and muscle strength. It is also a very viable career path for those wishing to pursue dance more seriously. Boys Class is also for males who are seriously studying classical ballet and are working towards examination and performance goals. Please contact Meaghan for more information.

Adult Ballet at the Wellesley Studios
OPEN BALLET: TUESDAYS 18.15 - 19.45 - Classes continue throughout school holidays!
OPEN CONTEMPORARY BALLET: THURSDAYS 18.15 - 19.30 - Currently on hold until future notice
Meaghan Rowe would like to welcome former and current ballet enthusiasts to take part in open ballet classes at the superb Wellesley Studios in central Auckland. The studios host weekly classes in classical ballet with a modern twist, designed for adults who would like to revive their passion for dance, while also catering for the more experienced dancer.
The classes are aimed at people who have a good understanding of the principles of classical ballet, and are happy to work at their own pace within an open class environment. The classes are designed to have multiple layers so that students may choose from varying levels of difficulty. They are structured like a normal open ballet class, with barre work, centre practice, pirouettes and allegro, and will experiment with neo-classical style and technique within this framework.
Ballet is a great way to keep fit, lengthen and tone muscles, and benefit from the therapeutic nature of dancing to beautiful music. Adults find these classes invigorating, stamina building, and a fun way to meet new people and challenge yourself.
Fee: $15 per class | $12 unwaged/student/industry | $120 for ten trip ticket book
If you have any questions then please use the contact page. However, enrolment is not necessary - you are welcome to show up on the day with your drop in fee.
Meaghan understands that parents need to be sure of a child's interest level before purchasing a full ballet uniform, so for this reason a uniform is not required until the children's second term of enrolment. However, children must wear appropriate clothing and footwear with their hair neatly tied back.
The Rowe Dance uniform distributor is So Danca. Carol from So Danca knows all of the uniform requirements so please contact her directly if you need any information: email@example.com. Carol will be onsite at all classes in the first week of every term to help children and parents get fitted for uniforms. If you choose to buy your products elsewhere then these are the recommended uniform requirements:
